Weaving sisal bags provides an opportunity for women in rural areas to generate income and support their families. It is a traditional craft that has been passed down through generations, and many women have honed their weaving skills over time. By partnering with these women we create a channel for them to get their products to the market.
In some cases, women work individually from their homes, while in others, they may come together in cooperatives or community groups to weave and market their products collectively. These groups provide a supportive environment where women can share resources, skills, and knowledge, and collectively negotiate better prices for their products.
Our goal is to also be able to do projects at some of these communities. First we would like to build a borehole to provide clean drinking water.
You can get involved by:
1. Purchasing a basket, your purchase directly impacts the women financially
2. Opportunity to donate towards our borehole project
3. Prayers, praying for the women we work with
